The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area regularly.
